Colorado Springs, CO - The Realtors Commercial Industrial Society honored Sierra Commercial Real Estate brokers Dale D. Wheeler and David L. Bacon with the 2006 Office Transaction of the Year Award for their sale of a 193,000 SF building located in Pueblo's Airport Industrial Park.

Bacon and Wheeler convinced the Pueblo Economic Development Corp. to purchase the property as part of PEDCo.'s mission to acquire real estate in order to stimulate new job creation. After the purchase, PEDCo. then leased the building to Doss Aviation, who secured a 10-year, $178 Million Air Force contract for initial flight screening training. This facility will employ approximately 200 and allow 1,300 to 1,700 commissioned Air Force officers to be trained each year.
