Colorado Springs, CO - Sierra Commercial Real Estate, Inc. has announced the sale of the 152-acre 3M Foundation property located at the southeast corner of Interquest Parkway and Highway 83. “This was an incredible infill development opportunity, given all the activity to the north in Northgate, Flying Horse and throughout the Tri-Lakes area,” stated Sierra broker Dale Wheeler who represented the seller.

Kent Mau of Sierra, who represented the buyer in the transaction, said that plans for the upscale "town center" style development include 800,000 square feet of Class-A office space, 800,000 square feet of traditional high-end retail, 1,200 urban residential units, 1,000 hotel rooms, and an indoor/outdoor water park.  SRKO Family Limited Partnership, controlled by local developer Jannie Richardson, purchased the property.  SRKO has rezoned the property to PUD and plans to develop a multi-use community, Colorado Crossing.  "This is one of the most forward-sighted developments this area has ever seen." added Mau.
